Six misterious robots

In November 2002 I have been contacted by the Cucco studios in Milan. They were looking for images of robots in internet and they found my site. They needed someone able to create robots for a calendar for the famous stylist Jill Sander. The robots should be original and simple. My work was to make 12 outline images using six robots created by me. In this page you will find all the 12 pictures I made. It tooks only 5 days to model them all but I had to modify them for a months to achieve what they want.
Attention: The calendar is not in sale! It's distributed only in Italy and only to the graphic studios (this is what they told me).

The robots
For each robot I show you the picture used in the Calendar and a 3d render of the same model. The images here are smaller than the original.
	Robot 1 The hero These robots are born assembling parts of other famous robots. The parts then have been modified to not be easily recognizable. Despites this, these robots seems to have their own soul. The Robot1 for example is the typical hero of the Story. He has Diapolon legs, Getter head, Go Nagai's chest etc. I like very much his silhouette.

	Robot 2 The knight This robot seems a medieval knight. This depends from the legs of the robots, inspired byTeknoman. The chest is the typical Go Nagai's chest, the forearms are Grendizer's. I like this robot because of his human shape and proportions.

	Robot 3 The angel In this case the parts come from TriderG7 and from a Mobil Suit of Gundam series. The chest is born thinking to the typical Sunrise robots of the 80's. There is a reason for his wings. This robot was used for December and so they need a robot that represent the Holydays of Christmas.

	Robot 4 Strong In this case the idea has born before the robot. The idea was to include in my small army a classical robot "slow and powerful". I choose big and fat arms, legs, torso etc. Unfortunately the first version of this robot has been judged excessively "fat" and so I reduced the effect and I make him more thin.

	Robot 5 The Mobil Suit If you are an expert of japanese robot you will understand easily what kind of robot is this! This is a typical Mobil Suit from Gundam Anime. This robot gave me a few problems with the Studio because of his "boxy" shape. Actually he was too complex for the calendar.

	Robot 6 The rival Another robot I like very much! The head comes from TriderG7, the forearms come from Mazinger, the rest has been modeled exspecially for this robot! When I see this robot I think he has the typical features of the typical "rival" robot. It's interesting to look at the shoulder of a robot! A robot with big shoulder always seems stronger isn't it! Strange.
