Name: Mirai robot Daltanias. Nippon Sunrise, Toei Co.
Year: 1979
Authors: Saburo Yatsude, Toshi Gofumi, Kojo Akino, Akikiro Kanayama, Norio Nashima, Tadao Nagahama.
Pilot: Kento Tate
Height: 53 meters.
Activation: This robot is composed of three different elements, another robot, a lion robot, a ship.
Driving system: Daltanias is driven using two great levers and lots of buttons
Material: Unknown. Of course is an alien metal because this robot wasn't build on Earth
|
Weapons: Gyro Spinner, Laser Saber, Cannon Cubic, Chodenji Arrow Gun, Chodenji Eraser, Four Cross Beam, Kaenken.
Vehicle: Atlas, the robot that change in the upper part of the body, Gumper, the ship that change in arms and legs, Beralios, the lion robot that change in the central part of the robot.
Friends: Doc Earl, Dani (Danji) Hiragi.
Enemies: Zar Star Groups, Megaborgs.
Notes: Daltanias is a good example of Japan animation of the 80's. The story is good, the characters are all different and very funny, the robot is very particular.
Mecha design is based on cubes, as you can see each part is cubic with only a few rounded parts. Daltanias's design is inspired by "medieval knights". Also his weapons are inspired by "fantasy heroes", flame swords, blades, arrow gun, etc. |

Techniques: This model was build by me and Riccardo Scanu (visit his site the RicScan Page). We choose to share our models, the body is mine, the head of the robot and the head of the lion are Riccardo's models.
What lacks: Everything! The model you see in this page it's only at his first stage of creation.
Notes: This is my first "cubic" model. It's a robot based on cubes. The problem is that a robot like this is very rigid. I have to smooth a little bit every part to avoid this strange effect.
My biggest problems: Nothing yet |

This is the original Daltanias. In this picture it's not very good. Actually it's too fat and powerful. It should be taller and more elegant in his shape. |
