When I was young, in the last years of 70's, Italian television broadcast a lot of Japanese anime about Super Robots. The Italian names of this robots (often different from the Japanese names) were: Mazinga Z, Jeeg robot d'acciaio, Il Grande Mazinger, Goldrake, and so on.
I dreamed to drive that robots, to fly on the Big Shooter, to fight the earth enemies beside Jeeg. Now I can finally make my dreams come true using Computer Graphics. I can see the landscape from MazingaZ's Pilder, I can control robot's movement or look Jeeg from the eyes of the Haniwa monsters. |

Values under the models represent the level of completion of the models.
Higher value means the model is almost perfect from my point of view. Lower value instead means that the model is still very simple, without details and textures. As you can see there aren't 100% because I change my models every time I found an error or I improve my skills. |

Trash69 Heights of robot
A special table of heights. Created by Gaetano Fezza (gaetano@slamrocks.com). He authorized me to publish it. Instead of the usual drawings this table uses only images of toys, models in resin and CGI models including some made by me. |
|
Trash69 heights of robots. Caption
This scheme is born to identify the robots in the table above. For those with little memory or unfamiliar to the world of Japanese robots. |
|
Heights of robots.
Extended version
Based on the usual pattern with lots of robots in color this one is more complete. The three giants behind the group are: Danguard, Gunbuster and Evangelion which the author imagines able to change his height. |
|
Heights of robots. Variant
The same scheme you see above but with a lot of new robots. |
|
Heights of robots. Higher and higher!
Someone has updated the list of highest robots. Behind the group there are two new giants!
The higher one is the robot appeared in Bokurano. In front of it there is the spaceship of Macross Frontier. |
|
Robot Cosedimarco heights.
A comparative table created by Cosedimarco using his CGI models. |
|
Sunrise's robot heights
From an original Sunrise book you can see all the heights of their robots one near the other, ready for a comparison. Look at Daitarn, is so huge that you can see only his leg. |

Heights..full colors!
This is the same picture below but in colors. I don't know who did it but I want to thanks him for the fine job. Probably he is a France artist called Fab and he painted it in 1999. Thank you Fab! |
|
Heights
Do you want to know how much a robot is tall?
Look this picture! Don't forget that proportions in Japanese anime change from frame to frame.
This picture come from the Go Nagai's Mazinger Z site. |
