Name: Haniwa
monster Magmer (from Koutetsu Jeeg)
Pilot: Living robot.
There isn't a pilot
Material: Magmer
is a robot of the Yamatai Empire and for this reason is external
armour is made in stone. The interior is metallic and full of tubes
and gears.
Weapons: Using
the right arm he can throws flames or little balls of fire. If he
loose his head can see using the little head on the waist
Notes: Magmer is
the second enemy of Steel Jeeg. He has all the skill of the other
Haniba monster, actually he can walk into stone and disappear.
I always love his big red horns and his skull face. I still remember
when he appear from underground with Hiroshi's sister Mayumi in
his hand.

Techniques:
The body is the same of MazingaZ except for the shoulders that are
larger and the legs that are longer but without foot. The flame-thrower
is a simple prism but with tiny rounded edge to improve specular
effect.
The skull was modeled using metanurbs
What lacks: Uvmapping for the textures.
My biggest problems: My biggest problems
was achieve a realistic stone texture for the body. I changed the
bitmap so many times and I'm not sure that my job is finished. Another
problem was use the correct mapping method (spherical, cylindrical,
planar) for every part of the body. |

Flame-thrower
The right arm of Magmer is a huge flame-thrower.
In this scene Magmer turn on his arm to roast some innocent people
around him. I used the hypervoxel of Lightwave3d to simulate fire.
Hypervoxel and particlefx are very simple and funny to use! Lightwave
is the best program for 3d, I'm sure about this! |

Magmer appear from the underground and now is
ready to fight Jeeg.
Note: This is the second version of an old image I created one year
ago.
What lacks: Skytracer is very good with bright skies but I don't
like his dark skies. I want to add smoke and dirt using hypervoxels.
