Introduction
Welcome in my site! My name is Gianni Soldati, I'm a freelancer artist. In these pages you will see all my computer graphic works, all my 3d models and illustration.
The site is organized in section. Below there is a brief description of every section.

The sections of this site

This is the most loved and visited section of my site. All the works inside are related to the world of Japanese animation and cartoons. Robots, vehicles, characters, environments and objects.
Here you will see all my works in computer graphic or handmade. Works CGI, Drawings, Architecture and others.
A few tips and hints about 3d graphics, 3d modeling and so on. (Only in Italian)

In this section there are various things to see or to download.
Links to other sites about cartoons, computer graphics, artists etc.



Updates
18/06/10 New comparative tables of robots heights.
In Anime3d section below the thumbnails of all the robots I've added several tables of comparative heights of the Japanese robots. They come from various sources and some are my exclusive. Have fun if you're going to recognize them all ... it is virtually impossible!

Gundam a grandezza naturale
Sono passati mesi e mesi dall' ultimo aggiornamento di questo sito. Me ne scuso ma qualche problema di troppo mi ha distolto dalla modellazione 3d.
Colgo l' occasione per una segnalazione che gli appassionati conoscono già ma potrebbe essere sfuggita a che segue poco il mondo dell'animazione giapponese.
Per festeggiare i 30 anni di Gundam in Giappone hanno realizzato una versione scala 1:1 del Mobile Suit bianco! Un lavoro strepitoso completato con una velocità che in Italia ci scordiamo.
Ecco qualche link per gustarvi al meglio questo capolavoro di ingegneria.

Added a few architectural works. The projects are not mine, I only realized the renders and the 3d models.
Lots of new works also in the CGI section.
In the Jokes page there are a few portraits of me in South Park and Simpson style.

Anime3d section
Added a new picture of the Big Shooter in its page.
A new picture in the Jeeg page.
Various section
Added a color scheme for Autocad users.
Added a little useful utility to calc the final dimension for a picture to print it correctly.
A new board game! My personal Italian translation of "Dawn of the Dead". Only for Italian people.Sorry!

I joined Facebook. I do not know if I will like it. It is just an experiment.

Added a new file in the board game section. This time they are two pictures to help you play the board game called "Zombies in my pocket".
01/09/08 Various Section
Added the Italian version of the free cards game called Punch! I translated it and I create the new graphic version.
A card game about the world of Boxing.
24/08/08 Works Section
Added other recent works.
08/08/08 Tutorial Section. Modo Tips and tricks in Italian language!
I added two pages about the application Modo!
In these pages there are hundreds of tips and tricks about this program.
If you don't understand Italian try using an automatic translation program like Google Translate for example.
Anime3d Section.
In the Anime3d section there is a page called "Various". In this page I added a new 3d model representing the gun of Captain Future!
I added also a few pictures in this section. But are only little old renders.
Works Section.
Added my latest works.
Various Section
Added two images to be printed for your comfort. A diagram of the keyboard to write down the schortcut keys and a sheet with colors to test the printer.

Updated Dimension+, the Lscript for Lightwave3d. Now it is version 1.7
A friend of mine helped me to improve this Lscript. Now you need only one Undo to restore the original dimension of an object.
You will find it in the section Various.
15/07/08 After months a new robot in my site!
Its name is Nono, from the japanese animation called Ulysses31.
Well, it's not a huge robot but it's a robot!
You'll find it in the Anime3d section.
14/07/08 Adeed the new section "Me & Nagai"
I added a new section in my site. In this section you will find only a few photos of the day I met Go Nagai in Rome.

In the Various section there is a new file. A cute screensaver about my favourite robot Steel Jeeg.

There is a new section in my site. In this section you'll find some information about myself and my job. I'm sorry but this new section is only in Italian.

18/03/08 IMPORTANT! A new trailer fo the project "The UFO"
On the GtGroup site www.theufo.net there is a new trailer of their CGI movie "The Ufo" based on UFO Robot Grendizer.
The trailer is 36 second long. It shows a fight in the sky between Grendizer and an enemy monster. There is also a scene about Grendizer leaving his spacer to fight. Unbelievable!!!

A present for your computer!
Zero, a friend of mine, has created a wonderful Grandizer using vector graphics. I suggested him to publish his work and he accepted. Here we have a few wallpapers for your desktop using his Grendizer. As you can see we choose 4 different backgroud and 3 different resolution so you can download the one more useful for your monitor resolution. This is Zero site: ZeroProg.com.

Modo Gallery. July 2008
I'm so proud! One of my latest works is in the official gallery of hte program Modo of the Luxology company.
Right now this model is not in this site but It will be soon.

My Spongebob is in the official Italian site.
The webmaster of www.spongebob.it asked me if he could use my renders about Spongebob for his site. Of course I was very happy about this.

At the Comicon convention of Naples my 3d robots have been used for a little show for the audience. I hope they liked them
"Terre di confine". November 2005
"Terre di Confine" is a new online Italian magazine. In the first issue there is a long interview about me and my works. In every issue that will come there will be an article about one of my 3danime models. In the first issue the article is about my Jeeg model.

Evolution n7 September 2002
Evolution talks about me again! This time A have two pages of the magazine and an interview. I'm very proud of this article. I'm sorry if you don't read Italian because in the interview I talk about myself, my childhood, my hobby and so on.

The new magazine Evolution published a long article about site like mine with Japanese robot in 3d. I have an page all for me. I'm very proud of this. Maybe one day I will finally work in the wonderful world of computer graphic and 3d video games.
