Description
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cra is a Lscript for Lightwave3d. It simply do a radial array
but it change the dimensions of the objects (the starting objects
and all the copies) so that they touch each other. The final object
will be a continuous ribbon made of scaled copies of the starting
object. The user can choose: the number of clones, the point of
union between the copies, if the object has to be scaled also
in height.
Instructions
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
This plugin has been tested on Lightwave7.5c and Lightwave8
Preparation:
Cra is not very flexible! You HAVE to put the object in the way
described below to use Cra with success
Put the object to clone in a empty layer. Center the object on
the X axys (you can use Center1d or my plugin Aligner+). To choose
the radius of the ayyay, move the object along the Z+ axys. The
ditance between 0,0,0 and the object will be the radius.
Look the Top view, you should see something similar to the picture
in the Cra panel!
Now you are ready to start Cra.
Buttons in the Cra panel:
Number of objects: Number of objects to put in the array
Point of union: You can choose in which way the objects should
touch each other. Look the picture in the panel to understand
their meaning.
Scale height?: If you choose "Yes", the object will
be scaled on X and Y axys of the same amount. If you choose "No"
the object will be scaled only on X axys.
The resulting object will be created in an empty layer. Doing
this way you will not loose the original object.
